The following keynote was presented holographically by Chairwoman Morro of Federal Progressive Party in the Gala evening organized by Gallente Independent Progressive Alternative. Unfortunately the chaos that ensued at the end of the event prevented the organizers to play the complete recording, which is now provided here for full disclosure.
Firstly, allow me to apologize for not addressing you all from a live projection. I am Emelena Morro, Chairwoman of the Federal Progressive Party. As much as I wished to be in attendance tonight, the business of keeping a major political party in top form is too often plagued with unexpected obligations and unanticipated scheduling conflicts. It is just such a requirement that has unfortunately kept me from being among you as a guest to the Independent-Progressive opening gala.
Let me thank Chairman Oinkelmar for making this very stylish gathering possible by having the political courage to challenge the establishment. I know his Independent-Progressive caucus, though young yet, will attract great attention not only in Villore but throughout the Federation and beyond as at last we see a progressive Gallentean capsuleer whose chosen business is doing the people's business. We need more leaders like Ammento to help bring the lifeblood of Gallente civilization, unfettered freedom of opinion and expression, into the modern age. Mr Chairman, I look forward to working with you more closely in the future and on behalf of the Progressor caucus wish you the best fortunes.
In recent years we have seen the meteoric rise of the independent capsuleer class, bringing with it a new hope for the future and no less sorrow over the abuse of new-found power. I have no doubts that those of you here tonight categorically represent the former phenomenon. Compared to your fellow pilots on the fringes of known space, concerned entirely with the management of their brutal dominions, the majority of you remain very much connected to your roots, as demonstrated by your active interest in political life. You may freely wander the stars, but your feet remain firmly planted on the ground, and we owe the great economic successes of the last decade more to your intelligence and industry than any other source.
Prosperity through freedom. This is the dynamic you represent, and it is cornerstone of the Progressor philosophy. For those of you less intimate with Federal politics, let me explain. It is our stance that the greatness our people--indeed, all people--can achieve has no natural limit, and government ought place no obstacles on the path to such greatness that would impede the growth of free enterprise. More still, we ought encourage the markets by continuing to expand in space and capitalizing on the vast territories opened in the last decade to high-capacity stargate travel. To achieve that goal, we need more bold capsuleers like yourselves, willing to risk the dangers of outlaw space but not easily corrupted by the uncharted moral wilderness of the far frontiers.
Like Chairman Oinkelmar, you are the leaders who have the power to shape such a future. We need you out there, setting the course, to win that prize. And, acknowledging the importance of that role, we long to hear your voices raised in fair and free debate. Appreciating the hunger for enlightened political discourse among the capsuleer ranks, the Progressor caucus in partnership with the Aidonis Foundation has created a new forum for just such a purpose. After tonight's gala, I encourage you to access the Crux Agora virtual environment (Crux Agora; NeoCom channel "Crux Agora") and join the discussion. I hope to see you there. Until then and always, may you find success and fortune wherever the stars take you.
