Mademoiselle Severasse, High Commissioner on Federal Minorities addressed the guests of the Gala evening organized by Gallente Independent Progressive Alternative on YC113.04.16 with the following speech.
Honoured guests.
The ability to progress is something that we treasure here in the Federation. The equality of opportunity, that all people, regardless from where they may have originated, are able to strive to become something more. We have a vast, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural malaise here in the Federation, and it is something we need to treasure. And indeed, we have a responsibility to create unity, where there is division.
There have been and are a number of groups seeking to leave the Federation, and it is the policy of the Gallente Progressive Independent Alternative that rather than alienate these groups, that we should instead celebrate the differences of our Federated peoples, and ensure that minorities feel that they have no need to leave, and then perhaps move to ensure, that other groups join or re-join our great land.
That is our destiny.
